The Department maintains traditional and modern laboratories such as Basic Electrical Engineering Lab, Machines Lab, Electrical Instrumentation Lab, Network Analysis Lab, Circuits and simulation Lab and Electric Workshop.

The Computer Centre of the Department is equipped with state of art computers, MATLAB software package. It has all the required machines like Induction motors, Synchronous motors and Transformers other than imported equipments like AC modulator servo system. A well developed Microprocessor and Power electronics lab would be soon added.

This Department is actively engaged in good number of collaborative and sponsored research projects. The faculties of the department are encouraged to work on research areas. Some of the paper presentation topics by the faculties are as follows:
